Once upon a time, when Karen Gillan was still filming Doctor Who, she lived in the Cardiff apartment of a certain former Time Agent by the name of Captain Jack Harkness. Or, to be precise, his acting alter ego John Barrowman. She rented his house from him for two years and while there she did…something to his kitchen counter.

The news came from an interview in which John Barrowman chats with Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill. In the video, he asks them about the 50th anniversary (apparently, “yes, there is going to be one” – fat lot of use that is), their upcoming departure (apparently we should bring tissues) and yes, Karen’s contamination of his kitchen counter.

All we know is, it has something to do with bread (mould, perhaps) and is now a talking point whenever Barrowman brings guests over.

We can only imagine what depravities Gillan brought into his house.
