Former Doctor Who Exec Joins Channel Four

Former Doctor Who executives Beth Willis & Piers Wenger reunited at Channel 4Former Doctor Who Executive Producer Beth Willis has been appointed the new deputy head of drama at Channel 4 reports C21 Media.

Willis who’ll be taking on the role in September will be responsible for originating, commissioning and developing programming for Channel 4′s flagship channel and its digital arm E4.

She’ll be reunited with Piers Wenger who shared the burden of bringing  Who to our screens until last May where Wenger left his role at BBC Wales’ head of drama to become a senior commissioning executive at Film4 – he was appointed head of drama at C4 in May this year.

Willis joins C4 from Kudos Film and Television where she was an executive producer. In her work with the BBC and Kudos Beth produced such drama as Ashes to Ashes and one-off drama about Morecombe and Wise, Eric and Ernie.
