Writer and artist, Dan McDaid has given a brief, tantalising glimpse of his next strip for Doctor Who Magazine.

The comic is expected in the summer, and we don’t yet know its name, but McDaid teased:
“It’s a glorious, picaresque romp of a thing with a guest star who pretty much steals the show.”
Could the guest star be McDaid’s own creation, Majenta Pryce, who travelled with the Tenth Doctor in The Crimson Hand, released this month as a graphic novel by Panini? (Honestly, under no duress at all, Kasterborous editor, Christian, suggested the Rani.) Dan called Majenta:
“One of the best characters I’ve ever come up with – although it took my current editor to see the potential there.”
McDaid’s first Doctor Who work was for the 2008 storybook, illustrating Gareth Roberts’ The Body Bank, but he’s since worked on numerous DWM strips and an upcoming project for IDW. He last drew the eleventh Doctor and Amy in Apotheosis.
