Ever looked across the road and thought you spotted a familiar looking blue box? Perhaps you’ve caught an image in the corner of your eye that you thought was the TARDIS only to look over and find that there’s nothing there and it must have just been your imagination.

Well maybe you’re not imagining things as these photographs show, the TARDIS has appeared in many a spot in England between 1930 and 2011, it just needed someone to catch the image for you!

Several photos of the TARDIS appearing in certain spots have been revealed as it travels through time and space to produce some truly wonderful photos and images from Google Maps.

OK, that’s not quite the case, the images are the work of Mark Dando and pretty cool they are too. If you look closely, you may even spot the TARDIS straight after (or maybe during if the Doctor didn’t leave the brakes on) events from 1988’s The Happiness Patrol.

If some of these images are close to where you live, have a closer look next time you’re walking about and see if you can spot the TARDIS for yourself!
