Doctor Who/Star Trek: Assimilation out now!

IDW's new Star Trek/Doctor Who crossover

The worlds of Star Trek and Doctor Who collide in Assimilation2!

Doctor Who/ Star Trek: Assimilation2 #01 is released today, a monumentally Marmite idea from IDW Comics, written by Tony Lee, Scott and David Tipton, with painted artwork by J.K. Woodward.

Tony Lee is due to sign copies of Forbidden Planet’s variant edition tonight (6pm- 7pm) at their Shaftesbury Avenue London Megastore, and while an autographed edition was available for pre-order from their website, they’ve potentially run out of the limited edition run.

Visitors to the shop will be restricted to just one copy of both the variant Forbidden Planet exclusive and the standard cover.

Here’s what you can expect:

“The two greatest science-fiction properties of all time cross over for the first time in history!

When the Federation’s most terrifying enemy strikes an unholy alliance with one of the Doctor’s most hated antagonists, the result is devastation on a cosmic scale! Spanning the ends of space and time itself, Captain Jean-Luc Picard and the crew of the USS Enterprise find themselves joining forces with the Doctor and his companions, with the fate of the galaxy hanging in the balance!”

The comic series has an RRP of £2.90 each issue, but can be found online for £2.65.

Let us know if you’re going to the signing – and if you enjoy the first issue!
