Doctor Who Cubed

The Doctor has faced many foes throughout his travels but none of them can claim to be a platonic solid bound by six square facets (with three meeting at each vertex!)

That’s right! It’s the Attack of the Cubes! Or if the rumours are to believed - cubed!

Simon Watkins (via Doctor Who TV) was on hand at Bute Esplanade, Cardiff to witness mysterious black cubes scattered all about and amongst cars – making life difficult down Rory and Amy’s street.

Also on set were UNIT soldiers (a first for the Moffat era) and Mark Williams – reprising his role as Brian, Rory’s Father, and confirming his presence in both of Chris Chibnall’s episodes.

Doctor Who TV described some of the Non-Philip Schofield based cube action:

“One scene involved Brian visiting the Pond household and he rings their intercom. Rory and Amy, who are in their nightwear, open the window above and ask, “Is it safe?” Brian looks around and sarcastically replies, “Yes, it’s safe!” He is holding one of the cubes in his hand and says to them, “What are you doing lying around for? Haven’t you seen them?'”

In a later scene involving Matt Smith, the Doctor materialised in the TARDIS and winds up climbing a tree to get a closer look at one of the cubes left stranded on a branch.

Intriguing…lets hope all these cubes end up being more than just regular hexahedron’s…

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.
