Big Finish has picked up three well-deserved nominations at this year’s Scribe Awards – which honour excellence in tie-in media writing.
Amongst the nominations is a Best Audio award nod for The Many Deaths of Jo Grant by Mark Wright and Cavan Scott – which saw the Third Doctor’s companion reunited with an injured Doctor to fight off the threat of a strange spaceship hovering over UNIT HQ.
The other nominations included Dark Shadows: The Lost Girl by D Lynn Smith – a spin-off of the popular gothic soap opera created by Dan Curtis – and Highlander: All the Kings Horses by Scott Andrews – which sees Big Finish weave it’s “kind of magic” over the Highlander franchise.
The Scribe Awards celebrate media tie-in fiction, something that Big Finish is particularly well-versed in. The award winners will be announced at a ceremony at Comic-Con in July.
