Tenth Doctor Who David Tennant

Man Offers £50 for Tennant’s Socks – No, Really

Tenth Doctor Who David TennantI don’t know, the second the Royal Shakespeare Company finally lets us hire out their Elizabethan clothing, someone ruins all our ruffled dreams by trying to buy David Tennant’s dirty socks.

As reported in the Daily Record a fan called the theatre company three times in an attempt to buy the former time lords socks.

Lindsay Archer, a store assistant at the RSC, commented:

“We had one caller who asked if we were selling unwashed David Tennant socks…He was prepared to spend £50. We told him no.”

The request came after RSC announced that the crown worn by David Tennant during the company’s production of Hamlet is available for hire – along with 30,000 items that, until recently, were only available to acting or educational organisations.

At least our mysterious fan had the sense not to go for the crown…because that would be crazy, right?

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.
