Karen Joins Twitter; Service Melts

Karen Gillan has joined Twitter.

In what is surely one of the fastest Twitter follows of all time, Karen Gillan has collected a remarkable total of followers since joining the service yesterday.

The actress signed up and quickly posted this daffy image of herself and soon-to-be-former co-star Matt Smith on the streets of New York city following another day of location shooting for Doctor Who Series 7. We in the UK were mostly fast asleep in bed when the photo above was uploaded to the service.
