You can never have enough Doctor Who merchandise if you’re a fan. You can own all the DVDs, toys and books that money can buy but any fan will tell you that there’s always one jewel in their crown, one object that holds the collection together, that they’re most proud of.
For Andrew Morris, lifelong fan and collector of all things Doctor Who, his most treasured object in his varied menagerie of Doctor Who items is a recently acquired, life size Dalek.
When Andrew spotted the Dalek (apparently built by a BBC employee sometime in the 60’s or the 70’s (is he sure? – Ed)) being sold by a children’s hospice he bit his bottom lip and made the purchase that would bring his impressive collection together, which is no easy task considering he already has a TARDIS fridge and a Doctor Who fish tank!
“I was looking online and a Dalek came up in Barry. I saw that the proceeds were for a children’s hospice and that made my mind up.
“My dream had come true – that I could get a Dalek.”
Morris’ Dalek took four people in total to get into his house but now it stands proud, guarding his Doctor Who collection and making sure that no intruders get their grubby little protuberances on it.
His dream has been realised because of difficult and terrible circumstances that he and his wife experienced last year, so his acquisition of this Dalek makes this story all the more poignant.

Looks like it might have come from The Ultimate Adventure stage show.
