Celebrity Memories in Behind the Sofa

New Doctor Who charity book Behind the Sofa An unusual new Doctor Who themed charity book is now available for pre-order, featuring the Whovian memories of over 100 celebrity fans!

Behind the Sofa is a limited edition that collects childhood memories of celebrity fans of the show including Charlie Brooker, Emma Freud, Jonathan Ross, Josie Long, Michael Grade, Richard Herring, Stephen Merchant and the inexplicable Rufus Hound, as well as The Doctor’s Wife writer Neil Gaiman and former guests Hugh Bonneville and Tracy Ann Oberman.

You can order now to get your copy from the first edition run of 300 books which have been compiled by Steve Berry to raise money for Alzheimer’s Research UK. Like all the best Doctor Who books, Behind the Sofa features original artwork, in this case illustrations that accompany the stars’ memories.

For the superfans out there, a number of special editions are available:

  • The Ogron package costs £19.99 and will feature your name among the list of donors in the book
  • The Slitheen package at £39.99 includes the above plus a signed print of one of ten illustrations by artist Ben Morris
  • If you’re up to it, the £199.99 Zygon package will include a logo or sponsor’s message in the book
