Who’s in Line?

Who would you most like to watch travelling in the TARDIS with the Eleventh Doctor?

We all know that the Ponds (or Williams) are leaving the Doctor in the new series of Doctor Who.

We don’t know exactly when but we’re all preparing for it. This means that the Eleventh Doctor will inevitably get a new companion to join him on his travels. He may well spend a few episodes running about on his own but he’s too much of a character to not have someone around to show off to.

But who could his new friend be portrayed by? Rumour mill is currently starting up and votes are being taken. Nothing is certain right now and nobody, probably not even Steven Moffat, knows who will be using the TARDIS bunk bed next.

Emma Watson, star of the Harry Potter filmsBut if it was down to public opinion, then website could offer an insight into who people would like to see. 5000 people were asked and top of the pops was former Harry Potter star Emma Watson!

Second place went to star of New Girl Zooey Deschanel; Anna “Brookside” Friel was third with pop star Pixie Lott and Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke in fourth and fifth place respectively. Attack the Block star John Boyega was ranked as highest male wanted on board the TARDIS.

But who would you really like to see travelling through time and space week after week alongside Matt Smith and occasionally Alex Kingston? Does the list above cover your top choices or is there another actor you had in mind?

Let us know and we’ll start a campaign! (We probably won’t but we’d love to hear what you think!)

But let us be realistic here. I know, I know, it’s a SciFi-SciFantasy show, but in all reality, it’s not at all likely that any big name “A Lister” is going to sign on to any substantial commitment to appear on Doctor Who. So amongst those who ARE possible candidates, who is the most appealing possibility?

Carey mulligan should reprise the role of sally sparrow
