Roberts Signs Shada
In a few weeks time, collectors of Doctor Who novels can breathe a sigh of relief and indulge in what is surely an important release. Finally Shada, the untelevised Douglas Adams-penned Doctor Who serial from 1979, will be released as a full novel.
This is something that we Doctor Who fans have been waiting for a very long time.
To mark this very special release Gareth Roberts, writer of the novel and creator of recent Doctor Who episode Closing Time, will be appearing at the Forbidden Planet London Megastore in order to sign the book whereupon you can take it home and snuggle up to it in the cold, enjoying the first “past Doctor” novel to be released for quite a while.
Roberts has been involved with the world of Doctor Who since the early 90’s after penning his very first Virgin New Adventure book The Highest Science which featured the Seventh Doctor. He was then drafted in to create some very funny Doctor Who Big Finish audios including The One Doctor featuring Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor before finally answering the call to bring the Tenth Doctor to life on screen in 2007’s The Shakespeare Code.
To have a signed copy of Shada will be a very rare thing indeed so head on down to Forbidden Planet on Wednesday 14th March between 6pm and 7pm to get your extra special version of this unique story.
You can pre-order a copy of Shada for £14.99 and find out more about meeting Gareth Roberts by visiting the Forbidden Planet website.
