Mark Williams in Series 7

Harry Potter actor Mark Williams to appear in Doctor Who Series 7As you no doubt know, filming for the next series of Doctor Who (7/33/Fnarg+2) began earlier today, and details have already started to emerge.

Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill were seen outside the Pond household, alongside the first guest actor to be seen (yet who still remains unconfirmed), Mark “you ain’t seen me, right?” Williams.

Williams is best known for his work on The Fast Show and for playing Arthur Weasley in the Harry Potter movies. He has also recently starred in Hustle and Being Human, the series created by Doctor Who writer, Toby Whithouse.

Mark also appeared in Big Finish’s The Eternal Summer as Max Edison, a popular character who originated in Doctor Who Magazine’s Stars fell on Stockbridge with the Fifth Doctor and has since starred opposite the eighth and tenth incarnations of the Time Lord.

There’s speculation that Mark will play Rory’s father… though this might be fuelled solely by his surname!

I’ll get me coat.
