Gallifrey One Is Coming!

Doctor Who super-con Gallifrey One takes place February 17-19thThose who attended Big Finish Day 2 last Saturday will have surely had a fantastic time but the company and its hard working employees have no time to rest on their laurels, no sir, they’re now getting ready for Gallifrey One – the longest running Doctor Who convention in the world!

There are plenty of reasons to get excited about this event but if you’re a fan of Big Finish and all the splendid work that they do then you’ll have all the more reason to go.

In attendance will not only be the Executive Producers at Big Finish Jason Haigh-Ellery and Nicholas Briggs but also writers Barnaby Edwards and Richard Dinnick.

What’s that you say? You’d like a few more people to attend then that? Why? That’s a brilliant line up of creative people! But since you asked so nicely, there will also be in attendance Paul McGann, his son Jake McGann, Eric Roberts, Daphne Ashbrook and Yee Jee Tso. It’s a big TV movie reunion!

What’s that? You still need a little more? But what about the people mentioned above? Is that not enough to satisfy your Doctor Who needs?!

Very well, ask and you shall receive. How about Louise Jameson (Leela), William Russell (Ian Chesterton), Maureen O’ Brien (Vicki), Camille Coduri (Jackie Tyler), Beth Chalmers (Raine Creevy), Philip Oliver (Hex) and Caitlin Blackwood (young Amelia Pond)?

Meanwhile popular Doctor Who podcast (and the only one we would recommend beyond our own) Radio Free Skaro will be podcasting live from the event!

Thought that would do it! The convention will be taking place at the Marriot Los Angeles Airport Hotel from February 17th-19th. Tickets are still available; Big Finish can guide you in the right direction if you visit www.bigfinish.com/news/Gallifrey-Convention

Have fun if you’re going, and head to www.gallifreyone.com for details of the full astounding lineup!

What happens when an eight year old kid watches the 1993 repeat run of Planet of the Daleks? He pretty much ends up here writing about the show that grabbed hold of him and never let go!
