It is slightly ironic that the last time the Doctor Who crew set foot on Spanish soil for The Two Doctors it was because they couldn’t afford to go to places like the USA.
Like the staff of Grace Brothers Department store Digital Spy reports that Doctor Who could be heading back out to Costa Plonka. Acting agency website Sheppard-Fox claims their client Rob Cavazos:
“Shortly flies to Spain to play Walter in the new series of Doctor Who“
Nothing has been officially confirmed just yet but with filming set to begin on Monday (20th February) with first time Who director Saul Metzstein at the helm expect more updates about this years most talking about working vacation.
So who’s Rob Cavazos, I hear you ask?
Well, according to said agency page Cavazos has worked primarily in theatre with his sole television role coming in 2006 where he played a Mossad agent in Channel 4′s Docudrama Munich: Mossad’s Revenge.
He was also completely typecast as a man playing a ‘man’ in an Xbox commercial directed by Ridley Scott’s son Jake.
His CV also lists that he is skilled in puppetry, so could this Walter character be everyone’s favourite whistling Muppet for their recent comeback film?
It’s the Hispanic Who/Muppet crossover we’ve all been waiting for!

I suppose evil alien Muppets from outer space is the one place Doctor Who has never been…
Spain has some varied and beautiful landscapes. Some desert like areas could easily be used for an alien planet. Cheaper than taking a bus to Dubai.
All the cast need are a couple of sombrero’s, pop on a poncho, some Mariachi music and with a wheezing groaning sound you are transportardos to Mexico.
Or it could just be a story set in Spain…..possibly.
A Spanish Civil War story with George Orwell, against anthroporphic alien toatlitarian pigs a la Animal Farm?
I mean anthropomorphic alien totalitarian pigs. I can spell really. sometimes.
Oh no! They’ll end up as cinders in Spain!
