Brendan Who?

Why, Brendan, the guy who took over Kasterborous, of course!

That’s right, people, we’ve got a new guy in charge at the K. He’s called Brendan, and he likes freebies from the BBC.

Lot’s of freebies.

You’ll soon see his name across the blue bar at the top of the page, and while he’s not freeloading he’ll be attempting to write reviews of DVD releases which apparently are “months behind” on the site at present.

So clearly he’s got some catching up to do.

(Don’t tell him about The Sensorites or The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe – we can’t wait to see his face when he realises!)

Once Brendan has done that, he’ll be sorting you out with loads of surveys about what you do and don’t like about the site. Never mind that we’ve spent 7 years developing content specifically to appeal to our readers (based on what we would expect to read), Brendan knows best.

Meanwhile, Brian, Anthony Dry and myself will be opening our own Doctor Who-themed Internet TV station with the £30,000 (for that is our asking price, Brendan) that our generous benefactor – your new editor, who honestly doesn’t appear to have a single opinion of his own – paid for this once-esteemed website.

See ya folks!

NB: this is of course bunkum. But Brendan is quite real.

He’s been contacting the BBC and other companies claiming to be the “new owner” of Kasterborous in what we hope is merely an attempt to get freebies.

Of course, it could be something more serious.

For his own good, if you know Brendan, have a word with him. If he won’t listen, let us know his postal address and a letter from our legal representative should persuade him to see sense.

Just so we’re all clear: Kasterborous isn’t for sale: we’re Doctor Who fans, not mercenaries.
