Barrowman Does Dallas

Admit it to yourself, you miss Barrowman. Seven years ago, he jumped into the TARDIS and our hearts, and from that point on, there was no stopping him.

From hosting talent shows, singing show tunes, starring in his own Doctor Who spin off and appearing in a whole bunch of other television shows, the man has done it all and made himself a TV necessity.

But all of a sudden we’re not seeing so much of him. He’s still there, in the background but it seems he’s taken himself off the boil, so to speak.

But fear not, because he’s about to make a bit of a comeback by hosting a documentary about the return of Dallas, the US soap opera, to television.

Channel 5, a UK terrestrial channel, will be sending Barrowman to the US where he will explore the origins of the show when it first started back in the 80’s. This will tie in with its inexplicable return to television later this year.

So once again, Barrowman gets involved with the return of a highly regarded program and we can all enjoy his natural charm and charisma.

And who knows, maybe there’ll be a Dallas spin off set in New York starring Barrowman as a sexy time traveller running a secretive organisation defending the city from unknown oil menaces.

Or maybe not.

Further details of the documentary will be made available as soon as we get them.

What happens when an eight year old kid watches the 1993 repeat run of Planet of the Daleks? He pretty much ends up here writing about the show that grabbed hold of him and never let go!

  1. Bryan Simcott says:

You do realise the Great Mr Barrowman was on tv on Monday Evening On BBC2 (watson and Oliver) Not his finest hour admittedly but at least he took the piss out of himself good style.

and his vocals were amazingly good.
