Doctor Who News Karen Gillan as 1960s supermodel Jean Shrimpton

We’ll Take Karen

Karen Gillan’s TARDIS-escaping turn as 1960s supermodel Jean Shrimpton will be broadcast later this month, and the broadcaster has released a short clip od We’ll Take Manhattan which also features Aneurin Barnard as photographer David Bailey.

In case you’re unaware, Bailey and Shrimpton had an affair in Swinging Sixties New York and the backdrop makes for a fascinating biopic of two people whose work helped to shape Western culture in those heady times.

You can catch We’ll Take Manhattan on BBC Four on Thursday, 26th January at 9pm. We’ll have some snaps from the film next week!
