Karen Gillan has spoken recently on the Graham Norton show and confirmed that she’s leaving Doctor Who in the next series. She also confirmed that she will be appearing in a few episodes but at this stage doesn’t know which ones. However, Karen is unsure of how her exit will work out in the scripts or how it will transpire onto television which at this stage means she could very well be killed off.
“I’m back next year for a few episodes but it’s not actually confirmed when I go.”
Whilst Doctor Who is a very positive show, there’s a huge possibility that Amy Pond could well end up kicking the bucket and how ironic would it be if she died and Rory was the one who ended up surviving?
But knowing how Steven Moffat likes to twist and turn his scripts, there’ll probably be some mad, wonderful and totally time twisting ending that involves Amy Pond going back in time and sacrificing her life so that the Big Bang can take place only for her DNA to be left over in the building blocks of the Universe enabling the Doctor to be able to rebuild her from an actual Pond. Or something probably much better than that.
