Dress Like the Doctor!

Dress like the Doctor in his wedding guest outfit!Kasterborous Associate Editor Brian A Terranova is currently hot under the collar at the prospect of an upcoming Doctor Who costume auction in which some memorable outfits will go under the hammer in the Entertainment Memorabilia auction on December 15 at Bonhams, Knightsbridge, London.

Like Brian, you too can dream of dressing like a Time Lord as costumes worth an estimated £17,400 are sold by Angels The Costumiers, a supplier of costumes to the film, theatre and television industries. Angels is run by chairman Tim Angel (coincidence? I doubt it) who said:

“Doctor Who is a perennial TV favourite, and the Angels team always looks forward to working on the show because of the extraordinary diversity of costumes that are required to bring to life the Time Lord’s journeys.”

More than likely they look forward to a bumper payday when the auction season comes around, but I digress…

Among the 36-piece collection is the Eleventh Doctor’s wedding guest attire which featured in 2010′s The Big Bang, expected to reach £1,200 and £1,800. In addition, the brown tweet three-piece suit worn by David Tennant in Human Nature/The Family Of Blood is expected to fetch between £1,000 and £1,500.

There is also the chance to purchase a doublet and hose outfit from The Vampires Of Venice, where it was worn by Lucian Msamati as Guido, a lot expected to go for around £700.

Other items on auction include the spacecraft model from 1989′s Battlefield, costumes from The Empty Child and The Christmas Invasion and even original artwork from 1964′s The Dalek Book!
