WhoNews? What News? Charity News!

Any of you with an iDevice (other devices are available) not picked up the WhoNews app yet? Well, now’s as good a time as any, with the announcement that Paul Gee, the launcher of the app, will be donating 100% of the profits from sales of the app to charity for a week!

The money will be collected across one week, the 21st to 28th of November, as a celebration of the 48th anniversary of the first episode of Doctor Who! We’re sure you’ll agree that this is a great idea, not to mention a great time to be supporting any charity in the run-up to Christmas.

Rather than put all the profits into one basket, Gee is splitting the profits 50/50 between Cure Leukaemia (clue’s in the name, fact fans!) and Little Hearts Matter (a charity dedicated to getting children born with one ventricle the surgery and care they need).

If you own an iDevice (specifically an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad with OS 4.0 onwards) and don’t already have this news aggregating and product buying service, then you could do a lot worse than WhoNews and you’d be supporting a good cause to boot. So don’t be a Sardick – get donating!
