Doctor Who Tree Decorations

There’s nothing as magical as decorating the Christmas tree – it’s that special time of year where under duress adults clamber up into the loft, breath in dry rot, lose all the plastic hooks, get fake tree fur all over the carpet and toss decorations at the front of the tree until everyone gets bored or concedes that the tree looks vaguely festive enough to pass muster.

Well this year you don’t have to compromise your inner children’s Christmas joy because BBC Worldwide have released some seasonal Doctor Who: Hand Crafted Glass Dalek or TARDIS Tree Decorations – guaranteed to revitalise the Christmas spirit in the most seasonally jaded of Whovians.

Now we don’t know the Daleks’ actual attitude towards Christmas – or even Christmas trees – but it probably doesn’t include having one of their numbers hung from a branch. Unless that branch offers a vantage point for some insta-death slaying of young human spawn as they open presents.

So no doubt the TARDIS is included as part of some sort of intergalactic peace brokered over the Christmas period – but don’t come crying to us when more than the Turkey gets roasted.

Released on the 21st November these unique and oh so stylish ornaments are available to pre-order now for £13.99 each or £27.99 when brought together (so I wouldn’t let the cat near the tree this year) or come as part of a set which includes the complete Doctor Who Season 6 DVD for £57.99 from the BBC Shop.

About the Author

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.

While I may not be a mathematician, isn’t the incentive to buy both usually because they’re less expensive that way? As stated, I can buy one of each individually for 27.98, or buy them together for 27.99. Somebody at BBC Worldwide must have scraped through marketing class with 51% on the second attempt….

I got the Tardis today, lovely item, however I know its painted by hand, but the front windows on mine the paint is a bit messy.
