Who-ray for the podKast!

In something that approaches investigative journalism (don’t worry, we’ll be back to talking nonsense next week) our podKast (with a “K”) this week looks at the current state of Doctor Who merchandise. We discuss figures and in a podKast first we have not one but two guests!

First up is Martin Shipley from the Who-ray! store in Stockton-on-Tees who kindly agreed to chat about the relatively new shop which opened in the middle of a recession and seems to be at the heart of a renaissance in privately run shops and boutiques in the north-east town, situated near Middlesbrough.

Second, we welcome back friend of Kasterborous Gareth Kavanagh, who discusses the new Vworp Vworp! magazine. Issue 2 features a whole host of great new Doctor Who Magazine love, with the final Abslom Daak comic strip as his creator Steve Moore intended looking like one of the major highlights! A quick peak at the cover will reveal more

We should let you know that the middle of the podKast – where Christian speaks to Martin Shipley of the Who-ray! store – does feature some sound problems. If this proves too difficult for you to hear (an in-the-field problem which we hope to overcome in future!) then please skip forward to 24:14 to move onto the Vworp Vworp #2 chat with Gareth Kavanagh.

You should have noticed some the useful controls above that can be used for playing or downloading the podKast right now, but you can alternatively subscribe to our RSS feed to enjoy the podKast, and you will also find us listed on iTunes!
