Jumpin’ Jack Flash! Matt Smith wants Oscar winner’s Whoopi Goldberg (yep, for Ghost actually. A Very Merry Muppet Christmas was cruelly overlooked) and Colin Firth (The King’s Speech) to jump on board the TARDIS next season.
As reported in the Metro Smith reeled off a wish list of talent he’d like to take on a trip around the universe; including Manchester United legend and seagull enthusiast Eric Cantona:
“Whoopi Goldberg would be a great companion wouldn’t she? Yeah, she’d be great. Also I’d love Eric Cantona, or Colin Firth. Colin Firth would be great but he would not do it. God, when I think about it there are so many people I would love to get in it.”
With Matt’s er, unique, carte blanche options for time travelling buddies who would you like to see joining him in the TARDIS?
Some who could act would be a start. (Instead of Karen Gillan I mean) Wooden is to lifelike a description, Plastic or chrome would more near the mark.
Whoopi Goldberg would be amazing as she is such a brilliant actress and has a wonderful Calming nature, which would slow Matt Smith down a bit.

Best to not let Matt make these decisions. Andy Pryor, Moffat, yes but not Matt. He’s more and more like Tom Baker when these things come up. Bizarre decisions which are a testament to to his goofiness but best to smile and move one….
