Little’s Gunpowder Plot

On the eve of the release of the new Doctor Who: The Adventure Games, The Gunpowder Plot‘s Guy Fawkes (actor Ralf Little, best known for The Royle Family) has been sharing his thoughts on all things treasonous.

Split into two parts, in the first clip Ralf shares his thoughts on the character’s look, working in the recording booth and deciding on just what dialect to give Fawkes (who was born in Yorkshire but resided in London.)

Meanwhile in the second part Ralf passes judgement on the ‘misguided’ ideals of Fawkes and his fellow conspirators incendiary plans to blow up King James I and the houses of Parliament and install his Catholic daughter Elizabeth, third in succession to throne, as the reigning monarch.

In addition to the videos there is also a live Twitter feed of both writer Phil Ford and director Gary Russell playing through the game for the first time as they encounter Sontarans, Seventeenth Century Londoners and Rutans.

The game will be available to download from the BBC site from Monday 31st October. Check out the site for more regicidal antics in the days leading up to the launch.

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.
