Doctor Who Books & DVDs au Francais!

French super-fan Aurélie Demonchaux has been in touch with some great news for French Doctor Who fans concerning books and DVD releases!

I’ll leave it to Aurélie herself to explain…

Several Doctor Who books are going to be translated into French and published in 2012, and Series 5 will be released on DVD and Blu-ray in November 2011.

Here is a short recap of what we can expect in the next few months.

November 2nd, 2011

- Doctor Who Series 5, DVD boxset
- Doctor Who Series 5, Blu-ray boxset

Both box sets will include 13 episodes of Doctor Who, as well as Doctor Who Confidentials.

Audio options for the episodes will be English and French, with English and French subtitles.

January 20th and February 17th, 2012

Fantastic news as Apollo 23, Night of the Humans and The Forgotten Army are all released, while in February Nuclear Time will also receive the French treatment!

- Apollo 23

- La nuit des humains (Night of the Humans)

- L’armée oubliée (The Forgotten Army)

- Horloge nucléaire (Nuclear Time)

We’ll let you know as soon as we have more information on these books, which are being published by the Milady imprint of Bragalonne. Alternatively, you can keep up to date and brush up on your Whovian French at the same time on the Beans on Toast forum!

  1. Tjenno Bridges says:

That should be EN FRANÇAIS instead of AU FRANCIAS

    Cheers
    Tjenno

    • Ooops! THanks Tjenno, Caroline too!

  2. Caroline says:

Psst, it should be “francais” in the title, not “francias”.

Horloge nucleaire sounds brilliant as a title.
