Spike TV Awards

Spike TV’s annual Scream Awards are back for the sixth time to honour the most sterling work in the horror, science fiction, fantasy and comic book world of television and movies.

All the biggest titles are up for awards including Harry Potter, X-Men, True Blood, Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead.

Of course, Doctor Who is in the running for best TV show and up against strong competition including Fringe, Games of Thrones, The Walking Dead and True Blood. Meanwhile Matt Smith and Karen Gillan are also in the frame for Best Science Fiction Actor and Actress.

Far be it from Kasterborous to sway you in any way but you should really, really, really vote for Doctor Who if you get the chance. Not only because the show is utterly fantastic but also because it’s far more original than any of the other nominee’s in as far as where and when it can take you!

You can head over to the website to cast your votes, check out some of the interesting category titles and check out the latest Tweets left by other voters.

The Scream Awards takes place on October 18th 2011.

What happens when an eight year old kid watches the 1993 repeat run of Planet of the Daleks? He pretty much ends up here writing about the show that grabbed hold of him and never let go!
