John Barrowman has recently admitted that although the temptation may be there, he has never slept with a fan or a groupie.
Talking with the Metro newspaper, the actor and singer and presenter said that it was not something that he could do:
“I’ve never done it. I have a partner. Plus, maybe I won’t live up to their expectations.”
Barrowman seems to be one of those celebrities that although he is extroverted and personable in front of the camera, prefer to lead a quiet life behind it. Do we ever see a shock-and-revelation story about the actor in a tabloid newspaper? The answer is no. This is because he does appear to come across as totally committed to his partner and their private life, which is very refreshing in the twenty first century where he is surrounded by quite a few celebrities that clearly enjoy that lifestyle (never, of course, naming any names!).
“They’re all geeks and nerds. And I say that with love because I’m a nerd myself: I wear superhero T-shirts; I go to Comic-Con; I buy all the memorabilia.”
The thought of him at a Doctor Who stand, nervously asking for Colin Baker’s autograph whilst wearing a Stargate SG1 T-shirt is one that can’t help but make you laugh!
