Arthur Loves…Waiting

Arthur Darvill and his beard recently sat down with Digital Spy to tease us with what’s in store for Saturdays The Girl Who Waited, Rory’s habit of joining the choir invisible and those all important pay-offs heading our way in the coming weeks.

Calling The Girl Who Waited one of his (and soon to be your) favourites so far – if a tad confusing the first time around (only if you’re simple – Ed) – Darvill also took the time to praise his co-star Karen Gillan for her ‘blinding’ performance and pay homage to the twisting, episode spawning machine that we call Steven Moffat.

Obvious Arthur knows more than he’s letting on but he can confirm that the pay-offs – which so far have been ladled out quite quickly regarding River Song – are ‘brilliant’.

The Girl Who Waited airs this Saturday at 19:15 on BBC One and BBC One HD in the UK and at 9/8c on BBC America.

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.
