Doctor Who Flesh Figures

Doctor Who - Series 6 Wave 2 Flesh toys

Remember when toys were really cool? They had fun little accessories that took them beyond just being a figurine. Toys from the film Terminator 2 had a special skin that could come off revealing a robotic exo-skeleton underneath, while the Ghostbusters range had lots of different extras that helped your imagination spin out wild tales.

And as for Transformers…

These days, an action figure release normally encompasses just the figure and not a lot else which is why it’s refreshing to see that some items in the Series 6 Wave 2 range of Doctor Who figures will have their own “flesh” and “flesh masks” meaning that kids can finally have some proper Gangers-style fun with their toys rather than just looking at them!

As you can see, Wave 2 will include the Eleventh Doctor and his Ganger (who looks a lot like serial killer Michael Myers from the Halloween franchise), both with flesh masks, River with her own flesh mask (interesting…), The Astronaut (a little girl in a spacesuit), Idris with a collection of cubes and Uncle – also with a flesh mask. Whether any of this means something or Character are getting over-excited by their use of flesh, we’re not yet certain.

These figures retail at £9.99, but you can purchase from Forbidden Planet using the links above for just £8.99 per item! You should note, however, that Wave 2 features flesh-less figures, so be careful which items you select.

All Series 6 Wave 2 figures stand at five inches and are fully articulated. If you’re a fan of the figure range, these figures are certainly going to be high on your list of “wants”!

What happens when an eight year old kid watches the 1993 repeat run of Planet of the Daleks? He pretty much ends up here writing about the show that grabbed hold of him and never let go!
