BBC America’s Comic Con Memories

With the San Diego Comic Con fast disappearing into the time vortex BBC America have left two parting gifts for Who fans who couldn’t get their con on this year.

Up first is a Doctor and Amy Pond look-a-like contest – which gathered together all the Who themed cosplayers it could find and made them perform like chimps for the chance to get tickets for this year’s Panel.

Most of the costumes are fantastic – it takes a particular kind of commitment to attempt to dress like a Dalek without access to a metallurgist – and the winners fully deserve their place at the panel.

Head to BBC America’s Facebook page for more pics of the costumes.

Speaking of which BBC America also have footage from the panel itself – featuring Matt Smith and Karen Gillan discussing the ending to change all endings, how to fly the TARDIS and fielding questions from a tin foil Dalek…

Only at Comic Con…

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.

Has any one else heard the news? All the 50th Anniversary celebrations will be exclusive to BBC America. People in Britain will get the edited highlights in 2014.
