Wired for Psychedelia

More missives from the San Diego Comic Con – this time from the BBC America Doctor Who Q & A hosts Wired.com who managed to drag Matt Smith and Karen Gillan away from merchandise, cosplayers and autograph hunters for a brief chinwag.

The pair spoke about a myriad of subjects including the evolution of the Doctor and Amy’s relationship (which Gillan rightly calls the most developed), and Matt selling the show as ‘trippy and psychedelic’ especially for the upcoming  episode The Girl Who Waited – penned by Tom MacRae (Rise of the Cybermen) – and just what’s in store for the second half of series six (other than the trippy and psychedelic stuff.)

With all the interviews, panels and fans to meet its no wonder that Wired are full of praise for the down to earth pair.

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.
