Doctor Who News no image

The Daleks Invade Earth Again!

The latest promotional escapade for the Doctor Who Experience is their most audacious yet – a recreation of the classic Westminster Bridge scene from the 1964 classic The Dalek Invasion of Earth!

It should come as no surprise that this iconic image has already been replicated several times before, most notably by the Radio Times for their award winning “Vote Dalek!” cover of 2005, but the Doctor Who Experience have gone one better and used the actual location rather than a backdrop.

You can see the results below, along with a black and white reference shot from the 1964 serial which starred William Hartnell, William Russell, Jacqueline Hill and Carole Ann Ford.

If you haven’t visited the Doctor Who Experience, or were unaware, the event is based at Earl’s Court in London, and offers you the opportunity to step inside the TARDIS to take a starring role in your very own Doctor Who adventure!

Within the experience you will also find special scenes filmed with current Doctor Matt Smith which combine amazing special effects and the chance to enter a recreation of the modern TARDIS interior topped off by a breathtaking 3-D finale.

For more details, head to www.doctorwhoexperience.com – also, don’t forget our review of the event from earlier this year.
