Matt Smith has revealed that rather than letting the Queen take his Bishop the Doctor would much rather play chess.
Smith was asked on fingers down the blackboard of your soul, Alan Carr: Chatty Man, whether the Doctor had ever had a night of passion on board the TARDIS , to which he joked:
“No. The Doc’s idea of an orgy is playing chess with an ostrich. His brain doesn’t work in that way. He would find it weird and peculiar. He finds women peculiar. He is quite asexual.”
Well that and the fact that he’s not human which raised the question: does the doctor have a ‘universal adaptor’ or an anatomical Sonic Screwdriver?
The answer to which is: who cares?
Anyway Carr found time to ask Smith about the ‘resting’ of the Daleks and also Matt’s wishes for the 50thAnniversary in 2013 where he hopes to see past doctors like David Tennant, Paul McGann and Christopher Eccleston (as if!) pop their heads around the TARDIS door one last time.

I thought the interview was refereshing and funny, must better than Graham Nortons one.
Seems than when Matt had said to much (?) he reached for the Bombay Mix.
It would be nice to see Christopher Eccleston back, perhaps Matt knows something we don’t?

I rather like that the 11th Doctor is asexual-it strays from the norm in a pleasant way. It is clear however, that The Doctor hasnt always been asexual such as how the 10th Doctor hinted at taking Queen Elizabeth I’s virginity, among other examples.
So I find it an interesting and very refreshing development that the 11th Doctor is asexual. Its always very funny to see him get so flustered in romantic situations. Its definetally clear that he’d much rather be fighting aliens than dealing with romance. XD
I am asexual also so its very nice to see asexuality get some visibility-even if it isnt amazingly obvious. ^_^
