Only a couple of months to go now and then we can all find out what happens the Doctor and company in the mid season premiere for Doctor Who’s sixth series, which is intriguingly entitled Let’s Kill Hitler.
We left the TARDIS crew last month dangling upon the cliffiest of cliff-hangers as River Song let loose certain revelations and the Doctor went on the hunt for missing Melody Pond. But we have no idea how events are going to be wrapped up in this particular two parter and what we’re left with is a mass of ideas as to what’s really going on. Speculation is rife and we Doctor Who fans love it.
However, website TV Overmind has come across the synopsis for Let’s Kill Hitler. That’s right; we have a tantalising sneak peak at what’s to come in autumn’s run of Doctor Who. There’s nothing to spoilerific about it but those of you who want to keep everything as a complete surprise may want to look away…….now.
“In the desperate search for Melody Pond, the TARDIS crash lands in 1930s Berlin, bringing the Doctor face to face with the greatest war criminal in the Universe. And Hitler. The Doctor must teach his adversaries that time travel has responsibilities – and in so doing, learns a harsh lesson in the cruellest warfare of all.”
Sounds great doesn’t it? Steven Moffat coming full circle and putting “his” Doctor in the same time period that he placed the Ninth when he started writing for the show.
But what does this all mean for the fate of Melody and River? You’ll just have to wait until September to find out…
