Doctor Who Extremist

One very serious teenage role-player has caused a bit of a panic in a park in America by accidentally tricking people into thinking there was an explosive device planted there.

Millennium Park was evacuated when a suspicious looking device, with batteries and wires coming out of it, was found.

But this was not some bizarre statement or failed act of teen terrorism; it was in fact a harmless bit of fun as the boy played with his friends.

Eighteen year old Emmett DeFrisco had been taking part in “Cosplay”- or Costume Play. This particular event was known as Soycon, which happens to be the “biggest Cosplay gathering in the mid west”.

And why would this be of any interest to you good readers visiting the K website? Because Emmett was dressed as the Doctor.

So at least the boy has taste even if he is scaring all the locals at the same time. He didn’t say which Doctor he was dressed as (he probably didn’t want to go into too much detail as he was being formally charged) or what purpose the object he had planted held. The object, by the way, turned out to be two bricks taped together.

Well, it does take all sorts of Doctor Who fans to make a world!

About

What happens when an eight year old kid watches the 1993 repeat run of Planet of the Daleks? He pretty much ends up here writing about the show that grabbed hold of him and never let go!
