Doctor Who at the Alamo

Doctor Who Fans Unite have rolled out the red carpet, put up some streamers and invited you to a spectacular screening of a specially-selected episode of the show for its third anniversary.

The event – taking place Wednesday July 20th at 7:30 pm at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, West Lakes, San Antonio – has a distinctly comic book theme: Sandman creator Neil Gaiman’s episode The Doctor’s Wife currently leads the viewers choice vote and IDW Godzilla cover artist Paul Hanley will be on hand during the night selling original art and prints.

Entrance to the event will be free but you will need to head to the Alamo box office to pick up a ticket to secure your spot as it will be busy. A second theatre is on standby in case of overflow.

To celebrate Doctor Who Fans Unite have also remade their own glow in the dark TARDIS T-shirts which feature all eleven Doctors on the back as well as a host of commemorative TARDIS pints for sale as well.

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.
