In the spirit of a good old adventure that the Doctor himself would find impossible to resist, the good people at BBC American have put together a Doctor Who themed scavenger hunt with prizes galore on offer at this year’s Comic-Con.
Taking place in San Diego (in America, for those not in the know!) during July 21st until July 24th, the exhibition will not only feature a wealth of interesting stalls but the chance for you to win some Doctor Who themed goodies as well!
The premise is simple, once at the convention keep your eyes peeled for “QR Codes” scattered around key locations. When a code is found, you can scan it with a QR Barcode reader (which you can download to your device, see below for details) from your Smartphone. If you don’t own one of these natty twenty first century handsets then you can text “COMIC” to the number 23000 from a regular phone. The idea of the game is that the more codes you enter, the higher your chances of winning are – and you can start now with this link: http://bbca.me/QRstart
The prizes will be provided by:
“AbbyShot Clothiers, Advanced Graphics, Bif Bang Pow, Diamond Comics, GB Eye, IDW, Quantum Mechanix, Ripple Junction, Titan, Underground Toys, Unemployed Philosophers Guild.”
Please bear in mind that the prizes up for grabs are subject to change.
So, go have fun at Comic-Con, make all of us British people jealous by taking lots of pictures and join in the scavenger hunt, using this helpful map.
