Torchwood: Web of Hints

Torchwood: Miracle Day is set to get its own Internet offspring in the form of the nattily titled Torchwood: Web of Lies – confirmed via Twitter by episode writer extraordinaire Jane Espenson (whose previous credits include Buffy the Vampire Slayer).

Epsenson has also let slip a few casting details for the web series, hinting at a reunion for Espenson with one of the cast members from both Dollhouse and Buffy:

It’s tru; there’s an echo of my past work in #Torchwood : Web of Lies. (I know you already solved my little puzzle, but this is fun.)

“Echo”, of course, is the name of the character played by Eliza Dushku – furthering Russell T. Davies’ links to the Buffyverse and giving this web-only series a high-profile star.

The release date has yet to be confirmed but as soon as we know, you’ll be first to hear it!

About

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.
