The Pandoricake Opens!

When the Pandoricake Opens all kinds of horrors await, like crumbs…and wasps.

In more showings of gastronormous Who based baking talent – Nelle Macbeth aka the flour-covered hands behind the brilliant Snack-acoricofallapatorius site – has been busy baking the ultimate prison in which to entrap the Doctor and expand the waistline.

Her cake of the Pandorica, inspired by a similar effort by The Writers Tale writer and journalist Benjamin Cook, is just one of a veritable village fete of Doctor Who based baked goods including a Kinda Surprise Egg, Time-Vortex cupcakes, Gingerbread Brigadiers, and Pyramids of Mars(Bar) cupcakes.

Nell also delights fan-boy taste buds as a tour guide for the Brit Movie Tours which was recently embarked upon by SFX, who were treated to Gingerbread Second and Seventh Doctor’s (as well as an apparently nude Sixth Doctor Gingerbread man.)

Check out the whole collection on the site or even email pics of your own Who-based baking triumphs/disasters.

Oh and massive thanks to Nell for the Eleven Gingerbread Doctors that she sent to Kasterborous Towers – YUM!

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.
