Superman Meets the Doctor

Visit the website Blastr if you want to have a bit of a giggle at an artist’s impression of what would happen if Superman mistakenly took the Doctor’s TARDIS as a telephone booth for him to get changed in!

It does beg the question of what would happen if the Doctor were to team up with superheroes or take part in a television crossover with another science fiction series.

Russell T Davies went on record saying that he was at one point going to do a “Doctor Who meets Star Trek” crossover but that may have been a little strange.

Maybe the Doctor could come across Firefly’s band of miscreants or to throw things another way he could land on Emmerdale Farm (which he kind of already did in Amy’s Choice). EastEnders has already featured in Doctor Who and the Red Dwarf crew ended up on the set of Coronation Street so it’s not a huge leap in terms of scriptwriting.

When it comes to superheroes, or other comic book characters, maybe it would be amusing to have the Doctor meet someone like the Punisher. Spending all his time trying to convince this dangerous psychopath that killing criminals is not the way to play things!

What would you like to see, which crossovers would you pay money for?

What happens when an eight year old kid watches the 1993 repeat run of Planet of the Daleks? He pretty much ends up here writing about the show that grabbed hold of him and never let go!
