Siren Calling

The BBC have stubbornly refused to heed the warning set by Hall & Oates and have unleashed a “Man-eater” on the crew of the Fancy.

Model turned actress Lily Cole (The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus) will be hurrying men to their graves in the sea as The Siren, a flame-haired seductress creating  havoc in this weeks The Curse of the Black Spot.

The Mail have a  peek at a few images of Cole in action and gone is the etheral green hue that surrounded her in previous images – to be replaced by a hand showing a sinster red glow that the paper helpfully point out is not the natural shade of the red-haired Cole.

Matt Smith for one, was impressed by the actress’ turn in the episode:

“Lily was wonderful. She turns in a great performance – and she was studying for her finals at Cambridge at the time”

The Curse of the Black Spot airs this Saturday at 6.15 pm on BBC 1.

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.
