My Mysterious Doctor

Doctor Who: My Mysterious DoctorOk, this one is a little bit odd but… you can now purchase a poster entitled “My Mysterious Doctor”.

“What’s so odd about that?” I hear you ask. Well, it’s the picture based on the portrait of the nude Eleventh Doctor (ok, his Pride is covered up by some sort of red silky thing but still) from the opening of The Impossible Astronaut.

Now merchandise is merchandise is merchandise but still, is this something that you would really want to hang on your wall? Proudly framed in your living room as you have guests over (“that’s an interesting picture…is it…er, rare?”) for a spot of dinner?

Well, they do say that it takes all sorts to make a world and if hanging a semi nude picture of Matt Smith is going to make you happy, then you crack on!

The poster is available to pre order now from the Forbidden Planet website and will start to be shipped out to customers from 28th August 2011. The cost will be £14.99.

For those interested:

“This gorgeous art print is taken directly from the original painting and has been resized to 18″ wide x 24″ tall on 100-pound satin-finish paper.”

What happens when an eight year old kid watches the 1993 repeat run of Planet of the Daleks? He pretty much ends up here writing about the show that grabbed hold of him and never let go!
