Metro Fanalysis

The Metro, the UK based paper that mysteriously appears on transport vessels around the country to inform passengers of yesterday’s news have scoured Twitter to gauge the response to this week’s OMG! WHAT? episode of Doctor Who.

In addition, #DoctorWho and related phrases were trending high on Saturday following Day of the Moon, confirming that while initial audience figures might be low, they’re not indicative of reputation…

Top of the tweets was the flirtatious, gun-toating River Song who in those two afforementioned traits has earned the title Awesome:

MeganCumberwire tweeted (incidentally i’ve linked to her Twitter page so you can see that the Metro didn’t make it up (well apart from nickhughes23) – they just stole them and didn’t link back to it themselves):

‘River Song is one awesome bitch’

She is indeed. And furthering her claims to awesome, Daniel_H_UK also commented:

“River Song is officially awesome and i now hope she remains a character of Doctor Who for a while.”

As well as River meeting the requirements for a geek-crush fans were also quick to heap praise on what’s shaping up to be the strongest start since the COUGH…Ultimate Regeneration…COUGH.

Haras3232 commented:

“Creepy, exciting, confusing Doctor Who – genius as always”

While infinite_walrus hurled much deserved adjectives at the show:

“Doctor Who was wonderful again. Absolutely stunning. Tense, dramatic, fun, explosive, epic. It was sensational. All of the adjectives.”

Feel free to tweet these people and thank them for their awesome insight into Day of the Moon. Don’t forget that you can also follow and tweet Kasterborous for the latest Doctor Who news…

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.
