  1. Er… what was that line Meredith was saying as part of her cameo?

  2. Yes, I’ve been waiting for people to notice this :)

Karen Gillan didn’t appear in the segment (except in clips). I think you meant to say Alex Kingston.

    • I was wondering if anyone would notice that, too ;)

Does it not bother our friends in England, that without exception, Americans on TV reduce the UK to one constituent country only? Does nobody bother to correct them?
It’s of little wonder that this country is fragmenting. Nobody bothers to hold out a hand to a neighbour.
You could care less, this being a site dedicated to the good Doctor. But what might he wryly observe? ‘Neighbours are cool!’

    • @tommyscot – I think there are far greater concerns in the world, although you have a point. I think the English are generally OK with it; the Scots and the Welsh, however…

The UK is one country, as also are England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. And Northern Ireland is also part of another country, Ireland, or Eire, which is itself another, separate country. Confused? You should be.

In the report they referred to Wales, correctly, as a country. I would have been offended if they had referred to “Cardiff, England” as that would obviously have been wrong (and I’m English).

I can’t see anything worth getting annoyed by here. Is the country fragmenting? There has always been talk. Oh look, the SNP have a majority in Scotland. Will they seceed? If they do, it won’t be the end of the world, but I’d put the chances of it happening at very, very small.

……the Scots and the Welsh, however…remember that Ireland exists.
