Doctor Who Website Awards

A few months ago, while the SFX blog awards were taking place, we were chatting with a couple of other Doctor Who websites with the idea of creating an awards event for the most impressive members of the Whovian online community.

This might have included both websites, podcasts and personalities, but in the event, to date nothing has come of it.

Meanwhile, we’ve been beaten to it by the Doctor Who Times, who want you to email them with  your nominations for the following categories:

  • Best Doctor Who Site
  • Best Doctor Who News Site
  • Best Doctor Who Newcomer
  • Best Dr Who Animated Series
  • Doctor Who Website Updated Daily
  • Doctor Who Website, Best Banners
  • Doctor Who Website, Best Look!
  • Best Doctor Who Fan Fic Website

This is a great idea, and one that allows fans all across the web, rather than those that gravitate towards particular communities, to make their voices heard and show their appreciation to the many sites that service online fandom.

As such, we urge you to take advantage of this and support the awards.

Now obviously you have your own ideas about these things and we wouldn’t want to ask you to vote for Kasterborous in any of the above categories unless you felt strongly enough to email doctorwhotimes@yahoo.com and take a couple of moments to do so. You have until June 24th to get your entry sent.

All you would need to do is list your chosen category in the subject line, stick the name of the website in the body of the email, and don’t forget to add your name.

Should you choose to click that link above, we wish you all the best, and our warmest thanks!
