Doctor Who Cast Serenaded

The recent trip to the USA on a big promotional push saw Doctor Who stars Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill meeting fans in various settings.

One such settings was the Barnes & Noble: Fifth Avenue store in New York City on Friday April 8, 2011, where they autographed copies of the Series 5 DVD box set.

Curiously, and for no apparent reason other than it was Friday, fans serenaded the Eleventh Doctor, Amy and Rory with a special Doctor Who themed parody – if indeed such a piece of music can be parodied – of Rebecca Black’s “Friday”.

Can’t think why The Cure’s “Friday I’m In Love” wouldn’t have been a better option, but there you go.

Doctor Who Series 6 kicks off on BBC America on Saturday April 23 at 9/8c.

Thanks to Rory, and the Internet legend that is Rebecca Black.
