Vote Who(ever You Want)!

Another year and another round of awards to be handed out to various artists, SFX.com however, has decided to do something slightly different by introducing for the first time ever, the SFX Blog Awards!

Encapsulating all those lovely bloggers from that well known place we call the internet, the SFX team has worked hard to find not the money making sites but rather the ones that are run by “fans of the genre” who are simply running their blogs due to passion rather than prof-
The Colonel interrupts!

Right, STOP THIS!

Hold on a minute!

Now, I’ve noticed a tendency for this website to get rather silly in the past. Now I do my best to keep things moving along, but I’m not having things getting silly.

This so-called SFX Blog Awards is extremely silly indeed! Now, nobody likes a good laugh more than I do…except perhaps my wife and some of her friends…oh yes and Captain Johnston. Come to think of it most people likes a good laugh more than I do. But that’s beside the point.

The point is, how has the noble website of Kasterborous been overlooked? Did no one on the SFX forum nominate it? Did the longest-running Doctor Who news blog fall down the back of the sofa?

Still, no point being bitter, is there? Make sure you vote for all of the Doctor Who options people. Now, let’s have a good clean healthy news item. Off you go, Mez!)

Right, thanks.

As I was saying, there’s plenty of Doctor Who related sites to vote for as well. In the “Best SF Podcast” category is The Doctor Who Podcast, in the “Best Fan Community” section you can vote for Gallifrey Base, in “The Best SF News Blog” category you’ll find that the Doctor Who News Page is in the nominees, in “The Best Franchise Specific Site” section there are two Doctor Who sites: Life, Doctor Who and Combon followed by Who Fix (who?-Ed)  and finally in “Best Celebrity Blog” section there are three mysterious Doctor Who related writers: Paul Cornell, James Moran and Neil Gaiman.

If that wasn’t enough to get you happy voters to, well, vote, then SFX is also running a very silly but very funny Doctor Who related poll in order to celebrate the return of the series next month. Questions about the Doctor’s gender and political stance come into the equation!

So, go on over to the SFX site for the Blog awards and or vote on their bonkers Doctor Who poll, it’s the most fun you’ll have voting all year!

  1. I find this article especially awesome considering I just watched that episode of Monty Python last week!
