The Prequel is Coming…

If you loved the mini bites of Doctor Who provided by Comic Relief then you’ll be tickled positively pink by the announcement that the BBC are airing online prequels – starting with a preamble to the opening two parter The Impossible Astronaut and Day of the Moon.

The first part of three planned mini episodes which are aimed at setting up the specific story strands that will ensnare the Doctor over the coming weeks promises to be an eerie sequence set in a White House haunted by the presence of the series new big bad – The Silence.

Writen by Steven Moffat and featuring one of the opening episodes stars Stuart Milligan (Doctor Who cartoon Dreamland) the prequel will air on the BBC Doctor Who site on Friday at 4pm.

A preview to the Prequel can be seen has already been released.

Everyone has a favourite Doctor and mine - just for his honesty, his fairness and his ability to not notice the Master's awful, awful disguises/anagrams (Sir Gilles Estram!?!) - has to be the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison. The stories didn’t serve him as well as his acting served those stories.
